[Rails] List out banking application

Hi all, I am newbie to RoR, though impressed with it's rapid development. I have few concerns on security. As couple of my networking apps are related to Finance domain I would like to know if any security issues are associated? Actually I read through that Rails deals well with known problems

In my application i have a column like description of type text area. I Installed Blacklist gem and Redcloth plugin(dependency) . when I entered blacklist words in text area what should it do?(in my application it does nothing) Do I need to relate the plugin or gem to my application. reply
