This got me thinking if this integration will be offered in the community
project or will this only be done in the enterprise version? I

Everything will be available in the community. The product is just a hardened,
sanitized and long live support branch of what you have in community.

Understood. I just haven't read anything about this until that post so I
wasn't sure if that was even related to the work being done for UberFire or
if this was an other project. I guess I phrased the question completely
wrong in that aspect.

Some of it has been migrated to uberfire. Some is still standalone, and will be
migrated over next year.
