I believed that the OpenFlow protocol will still be used in some
area/company for a while.

They are pretty well hidden. I am more interested in the future of Ryu,
will the project look to incorporate the move towards data plane
programmability via P4 P4Runtime etc... and support PISA architectures?

dropped OpenFlow in favour of Stratum and P4. What is Ryu's intent in terms
of SBI in the future?
