Yup, though probably the sysadmin wants to do the fix for all its
users at once. On the other hand, it had to be done as a Python script
for us rather than the shell one-liner because, for other technical
reasons, I currently need to call this script from Sage using python.

Would you mind posting the python script also?

Definitely. Just a workaround.

Well, the real fix would be to have wx python work in 64bit in the
first place. But I don't know if we have much influence on that. The
installer would be nice for users, but not work for us, since we start
runsnake from Sage, and not by hand.
