So I upgraded a linux machine to ubuntu 8.04. I knew that there would
an issue with self signed certs. I found that I wasn't even able to
add an exception.

I went preferences->advanced/encryption->view certificates
Then switched to the servers tab and clicked on add exception.
I tried to get certificate from localhost:8000 but got the error.

An error occurred during a connection to localhost:8000.

Certificate key usage inadequate for attempted operation.

(Error code: sec_error_inadequate_key_usage)

I know some other people have gotten the notebook working so I'm sort
of confused.
Incidentally this was for a precompiled binary, and it occurs to me
that maybe there is some issue regarding which computer generated the
certificate (probably talking nonsense here).
