Yes, when I had trouble installing this several months ago and wasted
a bunch of my time because I tried to use VMWare, I suggested that the
documentation be changed to not say anything about VMWare.

And, the "documentation" for VMWare still exists in many places, such
as: http://boxen.math.washington.edu/sage/win/README-vmware.txt i.e.,
no one bothered to delete a few files, which honestly is only going to
take like 5 minutes and will save many users a great deal of time.
Especially seeing as how a version or two ago, ONLY VMWare was
supported, there will be a lot of Windows users upgrading who will
assume that it should still work. There should be a note saying it is
not sup
