Hello everyone, This is a reminder that a patch for multivariate power series is waiting for review at
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/1956 The idea is to implement multivariate power series as univariate power series over a multivariate polynomial ring; the power series variable is then used to track total-degree precision. This is a formailized version of the work-around that most people use when they find out serious multivariate power series are subtle and complicated to implement. So it has the double advantage of being sufficient for the needs that have arisen, and not *so* complicated. And I think it would be nice if that ticket could be closed before it turns 4 (January 2011 :).
