I think they're only for historic purposes and nobody needs them.

The main website doesn't serve any sage sources or binaries. Maybe you
mean the "old" files?

They are all tagged in git anyway. And so far we don’t clean the
mirror for the individual package tarballs. So everything could
be downloaded from a given git tag.
