On my MacBookPro with Intel Core i5, OS 12.6, homebrew with the newest pari,
the first build with ./configure —without-system-pari
worked. But for the make ptestlong, I had the problem on sageinscpet.py:
4 items had failures:
1 of 21 in sage.misc.sageinspect._sage_getargspec_cython
4 of
I could compile Sage 9.7 with ./configure —without-system-pari but not Sage
9.8.beta1
with my Macbookpro with Intel core I5, OS 12.6 and Homebrew , hence with
pari-2.15…

As always, you can get the latest beta version from the "develop" git
branch. Alternatively, the self-contained source tarball is at
http://www.sagemath.org/download-latest.html
