I'm still a bit stumped. If I open up maxima, then:
algebraic:true;
tellrat(h^4);
ratexpand((1+h^3)^5);
produces 5h^3+1 which is correct. However, if in sage:
h = maxima('h')
maxima.algebraic = true
maxima.tellrat(h^4)
maxima.ratexpand((1+h^3)^5)
produces a great long expression filled with p

I think this was asked a few years ago... anyway, I'm doing some
computations for which Maxima's "tellrat(X)", which basically means
substitute 0 for X wherever it occurs in a rational expression, is useful,
It stops expressions growing huge by simply and automatically making vast
unnecessary
We're going to do a project in which it will be convenient to use the sage as
computing library. Can I get access to sagemath from java?

Yes, they appear to be. There was another thread about this
at http://ask.sagemath.org/question/3406/share-not-working-in-sage-cell
I hope this is fixed by the Joint Meetings!

Hi,
Are sagecell links disabled?
I can't get my short temporary links to work.
Thanks.

HI,
I would like to solve the "arrows on the end of axes" in a plot but for
Sage 5.2.
I've read this, targetting Sge 6.1:
http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/10740
but I would like some more help to try to do it in Sage 5.2.
Any help ?
Thanks,
Pedro

Thanks for pointing this.

Hello,
I've just tried to print one code using the print option and I have some
suggestions about this.
1. The formatting should be a little enhance so as to be print in black
and white. Simple captions can do this job.
2. Indicates the code with line numbered can be useful so as to expl
