This is too bad. There is no other way around? It is a pitty that we

I downloaded the "App" version of the tarball and tried it. This version
has the SageMath-8.0 logo. This automatically upgraded my previous

notebooks, which I want to access again. Unfortunately, the old version of
Sage does not run on Sierra, which my mac is now upgraded to. I
reinstalled Sage 8, using *sage-8.0-OSX_10.12.6-x86_64.dmg*
