I've created some files I would like to post as a patch but after
runngin

 the patch created starts with

and contains none of the files added.  I've tried reinstalling sage
etc., but yet to no avail.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I'm running sage 3.1.4 on vmware if that helps.
