--Saturday,3rd July…. Death.  Antonio Santana Costa( Born on 28-05-1920) from Pequeno Morod, Saligao died peacefully on 29th June, 2000. Beloved husband of late Maria Magdelina da Costa. Loving Father/ Father-in-law of Vincent/ Joanita, Florence Caitan/ Assula, & Agnelo/Atala. Loving Grand-father of Clarence, Vinella, Hubert, Genevieve, Brendon, Abigail & Alson. Brother of Gregory, Rosy, late Trinidade, late Xavier( Sacru), late Mariano & late Carmeline  Funeral cortege will leave his residence at Pequeno Morod, Saligao, on 3rd July 2004( TODAY) at 3.45 p.m., for Mae de Deus Church, Saligao for mass and Burial

. As a mark of respect to the departed soul “ FLORENYINE” Bar & Restaurant will remain closed up to 12/07/2004 ( NH).

-St. Rock’s Youth Club , Majorda edged out  United Saligao S.C  6-5- via tie-breaker to move into Quarter Finals of the McDowell’s Bandodkar Memorial foot-ball tournament, organized by Baina Sports Club at MPT grounds, Vasco( H).

 

-Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao  has exhorted the faithful to make room  for the less fortunate and the marginalized in the Communities. Adressing the Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King and faithful  at Cavelossim , a few days back,  on the occasion of the blessing of the oratory of Prem- Dan ( Gift of Love), the Archbishop said: “ The  Holy Father challenges us to make our communities, houses and schools of communion  We should make room for others in our hearts and in our communities”. Also our life of witness is important , the Prelate emphasized .Praising the F.M.C.K. nuns, he said the Sisters live their religious life not for themselves but for others.

Sr. Celine Coelho F.M.C.K  from Cotula ,Saligao is the Superior of Prem-Dan to which the Postulancy  under Sr. Alexia, F.M.C.K and “ ASRO”, the Hospital for Aids patients are attached.
