----------------------------------------------------------------------- Documented by Goa Desc Documentation Service & circulated by Goa Civic & Consumer Action Network (GOA CAN)<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Ph:2252660 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- Bus Service Needed ---------------------------- Way back in the seventies, Grande Morrod, Saligao used to have a Kadamba bus service from Chapora to Vasco passing Saligao in the mornings and in the evening from Panaji which use to pass Saligao at 7.30 p.m.
This service was very convenient for the office-goers working in Panaji. Today, only tourist buses pass this way. Since that service has stopped, it is very difficult for the office goers to get home from Panaji.
Although as an MLA, Dr Wilfred de Souza had put a bus service in place via Grande Morrod, it was too early and hence nobody used this service and it was gradually withdrawn.
A bus service should be introduced from Mapusa to Calangute via Grande Morrod.
A similar service to Panaji should also be introduced at a convenient time for the
benefit of the office goers.
