Mark - what a brilliant idea! I couldn't go to bed until I worked it
out! I'll post a more detailed message tomorrow, but the ServersAlive
HTML template I'm using is here:

I'm trying to change the background colour of a cell based on the state of
SA_STATUS. While I know that two valid states are 'up' and 'down' I can't
seem to get 'maintenance' to work. Is this what I should be checking for?
are the possible vlues up, down, maintenance, unavailable, unchecked?
I did not realize that was what dependencies were for. Chalk another one up to a
user=ID10T error and not doing their part to RTFM. Thanks for the info, it will be
put to good use.

Why don't you set up dependencies? I've got a similar situation (on a
much smaller scale) and I set up a ping check for each server. All of
the other checks for that particular server are dependent on the ping
check. If I put the ping check into maintenance, then they all go into
maintenance.
In v4 will it be possible to select more than one check and set them all into
maintenance mode or active mode? This has been troublesome for us with about 100
checks per server being done. Yes, I have scripted most of it, but the maintenance is
getting to be a hassle, especially when we add an
Dirk,
Since V4 is a total rewrite could we add a feature that would create a
versioned copy of the hosts file? We have had Salive lock up twice which
ended up zeroing out the host file and we had to start from scratch. (Of

LOL Dirk !!!
Your product is great, and you're great. I pretty much never post on here,
but I do love Servers Alive.

To get the error level back from a VBS script running with Windows

worked for me):
1. Make batch file that actually runs the script as if called from command
