that we first try to "send" the alert via the normal network connection and
if this fails we can try it via dial-up networking (DUN).

I'm using Skytel and have a similar problem in that only about 1/2 pages connect. Is there a connection to your "other provider"?

That's unfortunate. How do you page if your main pipe to the internet
goes down? On the other hand, a POTS line almost NEVER breaks, even
during power outages. That's why I use TAP. Once TAP is unavailable, say
goodbye to reliable paging during network outages.

I use Verizon, and I too had a similar problem. only about 1 out of every few pages

to try and solve the problem. Seemed to have worked perfectly with the older versions
of SA. I finally solved my problem b

Funny, I've been experiencing this *exact* same problem. At my last
company I used dialup/TAP to page using Verizon for the last 2 years,
worked great. Then, I just implemented SA at my new job, and I started
having these problems. I won't send my logs, because they look
identical. Logon: failed. I
I've been trying to receive alpha paging and tried about everything I could without
success.
First, I must say that with different software (even one I program myself) I'm able to
receive messages with the same parameters than those I entered in ServersAlive, latest
build (v4.0.1458).
Here's

1. How to select the alert? Just saying remove the SMTP alert isn't good

it but THE issue is how to determine which alert to remove.
Same issue for the edit of them.

I finally got time to check out the new global change replace feature. I
love it. It is much better than the old. I have long awaited the ability
to change (globally) alerts by group and subgroup. A few suggestions

that Richard's modifications to the template broke something. I just
downloaded 1457, and SangfroidJr is working fine. Richard had
modified the code to put certain entries in red.
