You can also setup SMTP2POP3 which tests if a message can be
sent/received on the Notes server. You'll have to create a dummy
account on the server for SMTP2POP3 to send/receive with, but it's a
very valuable tool to make sure that mail is flowing.

Jim,
Check port 1352 to determine if the server will respond to the Client
interface. Check the defined ports for HTTP/SSL/LDAP or others if you have
these add-in tasks running on your Domino server and want to verify their
availability.

I do not fully understand your question but if the cable ip is down and you
want after an hour or so to make it come back up (by way of a batch file)
you can set an alert to execute the batch after 12 times (depending on your
time between checks) down. Does this answer your question?

Somehow the API calls is NOT reporting the size correctly. I can repro the
problem and I'm looking for a solution for it.

I am trying to do some testing on large files also (our priv.edb is 47GB)
and it is failing, but I don't see anything in details even though detail is

Tuesday, September 30, 2003 11:25:27 AM Check cycle starts ( 2- 3)

The biggest problem with having 2 version on the same system is that not all
DLL/OCX files are compatible with each other.
So if it will work is not sure.
As for the other question, I don't understand what the "batch file" is doing
in the "story".

I'm a registered user of Salive version 3. (I know I need to upgrade, will
soon).
I have it running on a 2000 server. So far so good. Can I install version 4
(in a different directory) along with version 3, or do I have to uninstall
version 3 first??
Also I have a dial-up account & cable account.
Guess that depends on how the DCOM gets its info? If it's the same way
Explorer gives a value, why not? But then I don't know the code side of
it. You could be right, I hadn't heard that though Jack.

I didn't realize you could monitor the priv.edb file. It is my
understanding since the file is open all the time, the actual size of the
file doesn't get updated until the information store is stopped?
Is that not the case?

Hi Dirk,
I'm using the DCOM to monitor an Exchange Priv1 file, around 4 Gig in
size. With the DCOM setup set to Gig, I'm getting a %e info for the file
as "-1.5GB".
Using the latest beta you just put out. No logging information.
Thanks
