I apologize for the long introduction to the problem, but I want to make
it clear what we are doing and where the problem lies...

Dirk, can you please, please, please, please put in an option to have SA save the
host file whenever a change has been made? I know that this will slow down response,
but I've had to recreate several checks several different times because I'm too stupid
to remember to save the hosts file whe
I guess I was expecting it
to be able to remember the unique ID that is given in the subject and only look
for that message.
I personally only want to use it
for send AND receive checking so my option is easy :-)
thanks

I understand the request but personaly I don't think that
technicaly this is an easy one.
Let me explain.
SMTP2POP3 in SMTP & POP3 mode:
you know the subject that you used and based on
that you know what to delete, so you could force it not to delete other
message
=> easy one
SM
Can I put this in as a feature
request then please. It would be great not to have to create MORE pop boxes for
this.
cheers
Steve

The *nix process check has been updated to 1.0.0.34
The previous versions didn't see all the processes IF the list was too long
(too long -> several frames had to be send by the "server" to the SA host).

V5 will have the HEAD option for the URL check.
The contains part will then be checked within the received headers (and not
within the received page because there is no page when doing a HEAD
request).
Example of what a HEAD url check sees for www.microsoft.com:
Connection=close
Date=Fri, 30 Apr 2
No there is no way to do this.
You need different mailboxes for each
check.

Hi,
I've just started using this to test a number of different
internal relays and mail systems. One thing I've found is that the POP3 check
removes ALL of the SMTP2POP3 check mails.
I was hoping it would be clever enough to just remove the
message it's looking for, not ALL of the test me
I installed on xp and 2000 server no
issues

The only reason I can see to get this kind of behaviour is
a corrupt filesystem or corrupt file.
Try a
chkdsk
to see if it finds errors on your disk.
I just did an install on a XP Pro and it went
perfectly.
