The characters {22} are showing on the Alert tab and on the add/edit Alert
window.
When it executes the external command, it does put the quote marks back and
the command executes fine.

What exact build are you using?
In what field(s) did you get the {22}?
Dirk.
One little problem for me is that I can't download the Reflection client
anywere...do you have a URL for it?

Dirk,
Nevermind!! ;-)
I was using a “test” e-mail
account and failed to realize that I also had my Outlook Checking that
mailbox. I guess the two were hitting the POP3 box intermittently at the
same time and SA was losing the tie. I created a new mailbox and all
seems fine now.
Here is the reflection script I was using...
Sometimes running itindividually produces 99% utilization on Servers
Alive and a hang... Sometimes it starts the checks without issue.
Servers Alive would remain hung after exiting Reflection.
The rest of the system would run normally after servers a
Dirk,
I’ve configured the SMTP/POP3 mail
flow check as one of my entries and it seems that every other check fails.
Is there an error log file (or something) that would show why this is failing
intermittently? The mail server is known to be up and receiving/delivering
mail at the time
I did upgrade to the latest version, I was mistaken about build 1591.
Should the GUI display quotation marks instead of {22}? It is disturbing to
type a " and then see {22}.

I just upgrade from build 1567 to 1591.
When I edit alerts, it is changing double quotation marks to {22}. Is this
by design, or is something strange happening?

With al of the talk of Jabber, I'd like to ask that if there is a network admin who
has implemented the XIM server and wouldn't mind answering a few questions, to please
contact me off list. I've a few questions about how it works, expense, setup issues,
etc.
