You can get the
mount status of a store programmatically via a DLL call by using the
IMailboxStoreDB interface to get the Status property.
Here's the

I can't find any
example code, but you can probably script it
yes and no.
The current external check uses WMI as techology. We
at Woodstone aren't very happy with the way it works (mostly due to the way WMI
works). We're currently looking at a rewrite using API calls, that should
make it much faster and at that time we're also planning to add "support
I tried changing the name and it just
deletes it once I say apply. Is there anyway we could add Directory Services,
DNS, and File Replication Services.

Didn't test it with other logs.

Most forms include more then the visible fields.
If it's a HTTP form (and not an HTTPS) try running a sniffer while you do a
login with a real browser then check for all the fields.

Is there a way to have one entry to check
all the event logs instead of separate ones per log.
Also – I see I can manually enter a
log name into the check – will this actually work for things like
Directory Services on a Domain Controller?

I just downloaded version 5 hoping that there would be a Forms
Authentication option. Does anyone know of a way to get SA to work when
authentication must be done via forms login? This is an internal
PeopleSoft site. I tried appending ?user=...&password=..., but no joy.

We're doing this
with a combination of VB Script & .Bat files
that SA runs as an external check. It could probably be made more efficient, as
I had to create a separate .bat file for each server we had to check. If you

Tobie,
You win the prize. Problem resolved.
At one point I had thought about the Cisco VPN
client. I even went so far as to "End Process"
on cvpnd.exe in Task Manager. This did not make any
difference to my problem. Apparentl

XP-SP2 has the Windows Firewall enabled by default.
The default setting is to not respond to ping requests. You will have to
go into the firewall settings and check "Allow ICMP Echo Requests" in order to
be able to ping the XP-SP2 mac

I have installed and am running Ethereal on both the XP-SP2 and SA
machines. Both machines are on the same subnet.
When I ping SA from XP I see the ping request and reply on both
machines.
When I ping XP from SA I see only the pin

I also have a custom VB exe app that
does something similar. It can check for the file dated today or within
the last hour. I started looking at converting this to a COM object, but
haven't gotten that far yet.

Thanks for the tip Gene. This app link was a little more than what I was

I got one of my in-house developers to write me an exe for this, and I run it
as an external check returning a 0 value if the file exists with a created or
modified date of today, and a 1 if no file exits in the dir w
