I would like to be able to check that a
drive we have connected to our SAN has not lost connection. Currently I have
it checking for an invert off 99% free disk space. So if at any time there is
less than 1% used it will notify me but then it is still listed under
diskspace. Does anyone
Are you 100% sure that it should fit what you're giving as "rules"?
What did you give as config parameters?
Dirk.

Dirk... I had SA up and running
Dirk... I had SA up and running it said 0 matching entries.. I let it go
through the loop of monitors 3 times... Then I removed a power supply from a
monitored server to generate the event.. Even after 4 more cycles through SA,
it still isn't catching the event id.
___
It will only detect new entries in the eventlog, not the
old entries.

You don't have to re-run the sa_u_rrd0x.bat files, they are
already executed by SA. The error "illegal..." shows that within the db
you already have entries that are more recent then the ones you're trying to add

Hello,
I continue to have
problems with the "new" external Event log check... I have it configured
to check for a certain event log ID that indicates a power supply
failure... SA never is able to detect this for some reason... It's
not a security/permissions error... It just always say

Maybe you want to look into the other

I'm having a few problems getting the RRD logging and graphing to work. I have enabled all of my alerts to log using RRD, have got SA to create the CREATE script and the GRAPH script, using the defaults. I can see at the end of each cycle that it gener
