Never mind, problem solved.   Batch file was writing to recycle.log … in the windows\system directory. I hard coded the path to the log file and the .vbs file, all is working.   -bill   From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bill Sweetman Sent: Monday

Dirk,   I see in the ‘Task Manager’ that ‘cmd.exe’ is running, so it does appear that the .BAT is called. I cannot see the command window on the server, probably because SA is running as a service (yes, it has interact with the desktop enabled). I’ll run SA as an interactive application

The PAUSE never gets called, hence I believe it’s something to do with permissions on the .BAT file, yes? SA and the .BAT file are on the same machine. -bill   From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dirk Bulinckx Sent: Friday, September 30, 2005 1:45 PM T

I do think it's a great idea, it will/could/can give good ideas on how to improve SA too   Dirk.   From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Carroll, AndrewSent: Monday, October 03, 2005 3:01 PMTo: salive@woodstone.nuSubject: RE: [SA-list] User BBS for "How-To" in

A sharing of general monitoring techniques is an excellent idea. It gives the opportunity to pick up techniques you may not have considered before and also there may be SA based solutions to problems you were considering but didn't know where to start.   I would be very interested.   Regard

My original idea was not something strictly SA but a more generic place to discuss the use of monitoring tools including SA.  For me SA is only one of about 10 tools that we use.    -Kevin From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David BruckSent: Sunday, October 02,

Correct. But if it would be totaly global it would also not be very usefull. The way dependencies work they are checked once and everything depending on it is only checked if it's up. Meaning that if you would have 100s of entries depending on one entry, you would get issues. Example     test
