isn't very correct :-)
The listserver was stuck and I received it (the question) in a private mail
too..and we added the % parameter after a couple of hours...

If you've got a Linux/FreeBSD box, you should have a look at smokeping.
If you've got SNMP read access to the router at your end, MRTG or Cacti can
help as well, and MRTG does run under Windows.

they could throw on a server or if Mark Bradshaw (or whoever is in
