I am using SA successfully to check SQL Server 7.0 databases. When I try to check a SQL Server 2000 database on the same installation of SA I get the following error: Unsuccessfull connection Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 08001) Error 0: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes]ConnectionOpen (Connect()).
The SQL Server 2K client tools are installed on the SA box. I probably overlooked something stupid, but I can't think of what.
