Eureka. I ran
EXCTRLST.EXE from the resource kit. The performance counter for perfproc was
disabled. I enabled it and
voila.

Double check to make sure that you are authenticating
so that you can see all the processes on the machine.I check PCAnywhere as a service and a process on

properties .

Could you (for the test) enter manualy the name of a running process,
then run one cycle, BUT set a high timeout (something like
25).

same error message. I tried on the same subnet, and on a different subnet

tried this using version 4.0.1376 running on Windows NT 4.0 SP6a Server and also
running version 4.0.1490 running on Windows 2000 Professional
SP4.
If I
try to add a check for an NT process it works fine if I select an NT 4.0
machine, but if I chose a Windows 2000 ma
