Definite YES!
If an alert could wake up a machine, then I can prepare scripts that will
run from boot-up sequence. Or you might think of shutting down a server
when it has a critical error and use SA's WOL feature to fire up a
backup-server.

Can you describe what you mean? Do you mean that you wish to send a WOL
magic packet to some machine(s), or something else?
I think it might be pretty darn cool for some purposes, but most of the
machines on my network don't have WOL enabled.
