I think a lower resolution would be a bad idea...
Keep them the way they are now...
Will you be doing the whole tech manual at some point, perhaps as a Pdf ?

they're about 3000 x 2000 pixels and the jpegs are 440K - 825K.
I can try and redo them at lower resolution but I'm scanning from the
tech manual and it's a poor photo
