Originally, I had Windows 95 connected to my RH 7.1 boxes and then
upgraded the windows system to Windows 98, overlaying Windows 95.
Now I've done a clean install of Windows 98, no changes to the samba
configuration files, and am unable to even detect the network.

samba 2.2.3a PDC. I followed the SP2 suggestion by throwing "nt acl
support = no" to the profiles share, it didn't help. I tried to look

OK just out of curiosity I used the smbclient prog from FreeBSD to check
upload and download speeds... downloading from win to unix gets ~3000k/sec
and uploading from unix to win gets ~4000k/sec so the only problem is
uploading from win to unix where it's like ~300-~400k/sec...
