You are probably using smbfs not samba, so what matter is the kernel you
have not samba version (no we do not develop smbfs as part of samba.
You do not tell which is the OS you mount from.
You should know dos system had 2 seconds time resolution, we also
emulate this behavior in samba code.

Yet,
when using a Win2K workstations ,

sometimes word hangs.
No crash.
No special log messages.

I am setting up winbind on a samba box to be used on an NT/2000

I'm testing this at home, my PDC is mandrake 9, so I set up an old
box as an NT BDC to do the authentication, but I cant seem to get
