I am on 11.11, and passwd -r files username
Works just fine for me, with winbind added to my passwd line in the
/etc/nsswitch.conf file...

I am running samba 2.2.8 on Red hat 7.1 and the problem that I am having is
that the server can't see itself. It can the client without any problem but
the neither the client or the server can see the server. My server name is

This is the error I am getting. I am using an ldap passdb backend.
I have the attributes in ldap that I need i.e.
objectClass=sambaSamAccount and the others sambaLmPassword etc. But I
continually get this message in my logs:
User in passdb, but getpwnam() fails!
