Hello list,
We're migrating our whole network to Linux. The process involves a
period of time in which there will be Linux clients and windows clients
mounting remote shares from a NT server.
The access is working fine, But file locking isn't working properly.
I'll expose situations tested:
I have installed Samba server in a Red Hat Enterprise ES 3.0 (kernel
2.4.21), with Windows XP clients.
I need that the clients refresh the file information (size, deleting...)
automatically. I heard that it is possible with Samba 3.0, but I have not
been able to reach it.

I'm having the same problem with cups-1.1.22-0.rc1.8.5 on FC3.
cupsaddsmb is adding only the NT4/win9x drivers (if they exist in Samba).
Using the cupsaddsmb from cups-1.1.20-11.6 works like a charm.

through samba if the user is already logged on. Sometimes you need to
change the permissions in you unix system, then on the samba client log off,
