I am trying to compile samba 3.025.b on Solaris 10, but during make I've got
an error make: rc command not found, It is being supposed to have /etc/rc
but there is not. I have also have same error in older version of my SUN
which OS's is Solaris 5.8.

Is it possible to script smbldap-useradd and smbldap-passwd to add
users in bulk? Are there any sample scripts anywhere? I can't seem to
find anything.

was presented with an error on XP ), here's what I'm left with:

a few months ago I tried to setup samba + winbind (debian etch,
amd64, samba 3.0.24). I followed the howto and got the authentication
running. But I had not much success with winbind. I disabled the
user/group enumeration, but this didn't change it. A simple 'ls -l' in
a directory with 10-20

You should also try removing your global hosts allow and hosts deny
lines. If they aren't done properly, they can cause you to be unable to

samba (SAMBA_3_2 as of today): The ads version of the function
lookup_groupmem (used to retrieve the members of a
