Hello!
It seems, that Vista SP1 and Server 2008 cannot join an NT4/Samba-domain.
Vista once could join before SP1, if one did some modifications to the
system (LAN Manager authentication level, Encryption of secure channel).
But these workarounds do not seem to work with SP1 anymore.

i'm not sure how to create different logon scripts for different
users. right now i have one logon script called 'logon.bat' that maps
all users to a server share and syncs the time with the server. i need
to be able to map different users to different server shares. not all
users should be mapped
in the global section:
logon script = scripts\%U.bat
then have a script for each user by their username.bat

automagically with:

Thanks ..I have tried both like tweaking xp and disabling automatic
searching for folders and printers. Windows system idle
process(PID=0) is still sending NBSS packing trying to connect
netbios-ssn of NAS
