Hello all,
little question. Has somebody already compiled samba on SunOS 5.8
because I cannot statically link libgcc libraries.
I already tried gcc -static-libgcc, added -lgcc_s to LIBS variable
but always the same result.
Below resulted compiled binary ..

Hi,
my winbind installation lists the wrong $HOME for my users. While

Hi all,
I have Samba 3.0.32 on FreeBSD-7-RELEASE, set up to act as a very simple

I am seeing timeouts and connection reset errors in my per-client logs such

I was told that the version of Samba installed with the MAC does not

Need a little bit of a guideline on the install.
Greetings,
I just recently set up a new server with samba and openldap authentication
using smbldap. The passwords seem to be expiring after about 30 days. How do I
set them so that they don't expire?
Thanks,

So far, even using ads for authentication, we have to set up accounts
so an entry is in the passwd file for the user. Is there any way to
bypass passwd completely and just authenticate via the domain?
