Typically you would want the two domains to trust each other and you
would only be a member of one. If you had multiple Sambas running you
might be able to join two domains, but it wouldn't be pretty.

can mount the share samba dir on my client but:
if I do: touch temp0 I see:

or I can create new directory but I can't write on it.

hosts allow = 10.0. 192.168.0. localhost
can your 10. network and 192.168. network ping each other? are you running

Ok, I have played with this some more.
Here is my setup.
I have a local network 10.0.x.x/255.255.0.0
I have an off site network 192.168.0.x/255.255.255.0
The samba server is also my wins server and has the ip 10.0.0.2 on my
local network. This is the only NIC in the Samba server.

I spent some time looking for a how-to on compiling just the smbclient
(3.0.26), however could not find one. Having trouble compiling from source for
HP 10.20, however I only need the client. gcc version 2.8.1 ( I think this
might be the problem but not sure) Thanks in advance for any help.
Does Samba generate SID for domain using generate_random_sid function?
