Dear all
I am trying to configure samba username map file in order to map the
same user from a windows domain to 2 different unix users:
Map to = map from

mpcadmin = PRODUCTION\garcijo
but only works for the first map in the map file. When I try to use a
Hi all
I've a SAMBA 3.0.33 server running on Solaris 10 sparc.
The server is joined to a Windows ADS.
I'm getting the following error when trying to access the share as an AD

Hello Samba,
I hope to know if the latest Samba release could provide file or print service
to Windows 7 or Vista.
Thanks! :)

I'm trying to use samba to share some files with ACL.
But when i create a new folder or file, I have to press F5 before I can see any

I've checked the wbinfo all returns as expected .
I've checked the user on the UNIX server can access the files and dir -

Hello
I have troubles with some shares that are NFS mounted to a Netapp

Anyone has the same problem , it seems to be a Netapp bug but

I suspect that the problem is that Samba is looking up the Windows name
and simply mapping to the first instance it finds.
A work-around would be to use the force user setting on the share.
Allow garcijo access then force the user to be mpcadmin.

Update if anyone's reading.
I've turn off winbind and removed winbind from nsswitch.conf on the
samba server.
I can now get a connection using smbclient on the samba server - using
the users AD password.
/usr/sfw/bin/smbclient //fgukshppay001/lsww -U admandymarr

Hi All,
I cannot access/write to shares (depending on what level domain users
groups become relevant to access) so I turned the logging level up to 3.
This is the error from the 'test' share while attempting to create a new
