hi again,
in my case it works now after setting the maximum password age to a
point far in future, but not to never.
So this works:
pdbedit -P maximum password age -C 4294967294
but this not:
pdbedit -P maximum password age -C -1
I have also re-disabled the users account control property

Which smbclient version?
Last time I tested I was using 2.4.2. I'll try again with 2.4.3 ASAP.

Hi all,
I've published some printers through samba and cups, and also published
drivers to print$ using cupsaddsmb. I'm in an Active Directory environment
(DC are Windows 2003).
All seems to work with no errors, however Point'n'Print works only for some
printers. For two printers I receive
Hi,
I'm setting up a Samba server on Solaris 10 box and trying to decide
which authentication method we should be using, either Kerberos keytab
or winbind.
My preference is on simpler and easier administration aspects.
Any advice?
Thanks.

Hi,
We are using a samba server as a NTLM authenticator for our web filter.
However, Samba closes the SMB connections after 60 seconds of inactivity,
causing connections from the web filter to the Samba DC to get stuck in
CLOSE_WAIT state, and failing to authenticate the users.
Is the some way,
hello,
I skipped Vista and was using WinXP on all clients until now. I deployed my
policies using a file ntconfig.pol in the [netlogon]-share, but this does not
work with win7 any more.
How do you deploy your policies with Vista or Win7 ?
I use recent samba 3.4.6 and hope there is some way.

Hi,
As far as I can tell, deadtime sets the time of inactivity when there are at
least one share or pipe opened, which is not the case - there are no
resources in use.
BTW, I already tried with deadtime=0.
