Do you mean remove it and re-join it? It's currently joined, as far as samba is
concerned:
# net ads testjoin
Join is OK
# net ads info
LDAP server: yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy
LDAP server name: domain.con

2) wide links = yes
to the share configuration and
1) unix extensions = no
in the global configuration, restarted the smb service on the Linux
host and it worked :-).
Not only was my time saved but I also learn
Hello,
Seems you have faced with security restrictions introduced in new samba
versions.
You may look at 'follow symlinks', 'wide links', 'unix extensions'
parameters in 'smb.conf'.

Hello all Samba enthusiasts.
I am a noob w.r.t. samba configuration and just happened to use it on
Solaris systems by creating conf files using copy-paste :-). This is
just to convey that I'm no advanced user and might need help with the

Greetings,
I have new project on directory service and account management. I choose to
implement Samba4 as DC since it has many features. I have done the setup and
able to join windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 clients using Likewise-open 5.4. I
have done roaming profile very well for Windows 7 machines.
Hello,
We have the following configuration:
