We have working Samba 3.0.4 PDC LDAP backend installation with multiple
domains, domain trusts, cross subnet browsing, and cross domain browsing
utilizing a single Samba wins server. Everything functions as it should,
and all domains are visible in the Network Neighborhood.
Due to the lack of WIN
After struggling with inter-domain trusts for
sometime I seem to have got it semi-functional.
However, samba now takes it upon itself to create
a posix account in ldap directory for any user
that logs into a server in the trusting domain.
Is this normal behaviour or have I misconfigured
something

Can anyone tell me if ldapsam supports authentication methods other
than a simple bind to an ldap server?
I've read through the documentation, but couldn't find any mention of
other authentication methods.
