I'm typing "ping 192.168.2.1"...
It says "Pinging 192.168.2.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 192.168.2.1
of 192.168.1.102 and the Linux
system has a hard-coded IP of 192.168.2.1.
If anyone can offer any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

happy using IP addresses, but we can keep this in mind...

I am a brand new subscriber to this mailing list. I will try to be
kind and humble, and I would appreciate if anyone reading this could offer
to help me set this up, I would appreciate it.
First, let me tell you what I'm trying to set up. I recently got a
new Windows Vista
standing I got of Samba many years ago when I configured my Windows
98! I believe it will go faster with SWAT!

Ah... SWAT ... a "configuration wizard"... I will look into getting
that and seeing if that helps me!
