[Samba] Filesystem ACLs versus permissions in smb.conf

Hi all I have been wondering for a while now what people think about using EAs and ACLs to administer permissions on a file system level rather than using smb.conf. I much prefer Filesystem ACLs, yet they appear to be the exception. Why? Inquiring geek wants to know :) Thanks Bernhard --

Hi folks I am getting this error: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/admin# smbldap-passwd testuser Changing UNIX and samba passwords for testuser New password: Retype new password: I cannot generate the proper hash! uncle google was rather quiet on the subject :( what do you need config file wise?
