Try going to the Authentication tab on the WinXP's Local Area Connection
Properties dialog screen and disabling the IEEE 802.1x authentication - just
for giggles.

I know there was an issue with the queue window getting not getting
updated automatically with older versions of Samba. Is that still an

I have compiled
samba with the defaults on a Slackware8.1 box.Everything is running fine
as far as samba and windows sharing but I getthese errors when trying to
access swat401 Bad Authorizationusername or password
incorrectAny clues...I noticed some issues with earlier versions of
samba an
y shares on the Linux box and those have
been available to their users (same user names and passwords as the accounts
on the NT domain)
Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
