There shouldn't be any passwords changing.
What causes this and how might I verify that there is or isn't a problem?
I found several others who have asked the same question of this same error
but have not been able to find an answer or a solution.

In my opinion this is a completly un-acceptable way to install drivers
to a print server.
Im sure the "Greyed out"'ness is caused by some obscure registry
setting MS has added in one of the latest patches to XP to further
hinder anyone useing a samba server.
