I have got it working such that wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g both report
the users and groups on the AD server - however, what they dont show
is the domain (as per 9.3.3 in Samba3 by example) can anyone offer any
suggestions ?
Also the getent passwd and getent group are not showing the domain
details o

Thats ok unless you have limited say over the windows server - I
cannot disable the digitally signed comms - it take some persuasion to
allow a Linux/Samba server to verify users against the AD server.

I can SSH onto the samba server as an AD user but I cant mount a samba share.

I am using a linux box with Samba to share up a directory in Read/Write mode
that contains a number of subdirectories, each being an smbmount'd directory
from another machine, these other machines (around 10-12) are running a
variety of SCO Unix and NT 4.0 and NT 2000 with parts of their disks shar
I have a new XP client for our samba (Linux) servers, I have tried loading
the Win2000_plainpassword.reg but it is still reporting an error when trying
to mount a share - can anyone offer any advice ?
