we have a problems with WINS resolved hosts, which were added to the
WINS cache on the first query with TTL=7200 (2 hours). Exactly after 2h
entries are deleted and all following queries fail. This behaviour

we had upgraded our SAMBA PDC from 3.0.14 to 3.0.22 on a Gentoo system.
Now we have problems with peculiar spwaning of too many "nmbd" processes.
In smb.conf WINS support is activated, so I would expect two nmb

Assuming if the filesystem and network is fast enough, has anyone managed
to get a throughput in samba of of let's say 300 MB/s ?
Are there any benchmarks?
