I have been using Samba 3.0.7 since it has been around. I have been able to
access other users share and other has been able to use mine, until
yesterday. Their was no change in anything. On all XP machines I get
NT_STATUS_TRUSTED_RELATIONSHIP_FAILURE. I got this on my server running MDK
10.1
I am running Mandrake 10.1 with samba 3.0.2a for a long time, but just
recently found out that one XP user cannot write to home directory. User
can access all other shares, but is not able to write on home directory.
Permissions are the same for all users. Rebooted twice and still the same.
I just recently subscribed to the list.
Have there been this may issues in 2.2.8a?
It seems that the new version has a lot of problems.
What improvements are in the new version?
Any one working a version for MDK?

I may have missed something prior, but don't you need the time server
program running on your server?

I have been running MDK 9.2 with Samba 2.28a for it feels like over a year.
I upgraded to Samba 3.02a and the network seems to be slower, I have had
numerous issues, which were finally resolved, when I restart samba3, it
takes forever. Is this isolated or are others having the same issues?

Is it necessary? I am also confused as to what it does. If I disable it in
the smb.conf file, I can not say I see any difference. I am running 6 XP
pro clients, MDK 9.2 as the file server.
