Hello!
I am attempting to use Samba to increase performance over a PtP VPN
connection. The current scenario is a main branch, with a satellite
branch that is connected via a VPN (1.5Mbps max connection speed). I
have all users joined to a domain, but the DC is over at the main
branch. To better

Hello!
It seems my struggle with Samba isn't quite over. My latest problem is
exactly what you see above, followed by an attempt to core dump. This
occurs upon authentication to the system. My system is part of a W2K3
domain. I looked at the Samba HOWTO, but apparently I have a system

If I su to mgwinxpvm1vpn, I can access the /home/samba/MP3s path without
any issue, including being able to read and write to it.
Thanks

Here is some output with a level 10 debug, using smbclient to try to

We'll need more info regarding your IP set up, and samba config.
I access my Samba via VPN, and it was necessary to ensure that the
firewall / router knows the appropriate routes and passes traffic
through, as well as make sure Samba is listening on the correct interface.

Hello!
I've read various information on the web, including the HOWTO on how to

is some kind of bug with winbind, or did some other tool

and does it matter that I removed it?
Thanks!

Since upgrading to 3.0.23, my logins to my Linux boxes joined to a W2K3

I have this exact same error and have posted multiple times regarding
the issue - I've not received any response so far. Additionally, the

Any ideas on what this means and how to fix it? I'd be willing to turn

Hi all! First off, I'd like to thank you for the help you've previously
given me. I'd like to state a few of the problems I am now experiencing,
and you all can provide insight. I've read all the documentation I can find
and have surfed the archives for this newsgroup, but to no avail. Any help
n give me would be much appreciated!
