Hi,
I would like to announce the alpha release of fuse-workspace, a tool
which takes care of access to all kinds
of resources.
It's independent of the GUI, this works in every environment, so also
in the textconsole.
It gives access on filesystem level, via FUSE for virtual maps and

Hi,
I'm building a fuse fs which offers a SMB browseable tree.
I would like to use the function to check a server is still ok, by
first getting the function
check_server=smbc_getFunctionCheckServer(context)
and
get_cached_server=smbc_getFunctionGetCachedServer(context)
now by calling the late

(file).
How can I program this? Do I have to use one context or can I create
different context (SMBCCTX) in my program, one for every browse tree.
Thanks in advance,

Hello,
to use passwordless auth, use the guest option.
You can find this option in the man page of cifs.

Hi all
Recently I found that, in smb4k, if you press ctrl+v after selecting any
share, you can view the contents of a share without mounting it. Does anyone
know a command-line equivalent for the same? thanx
using smbclient, you can take a look at smb shares without mounti

Information there is not ready yet, I'm working on that. You'll get a good
impression how it looks like on the screenshots page, of course.
If you would like to have a installable example, please let me know.

I found out that installing a new version of Samba isn't just

I had a lot of trouble when I installed samba version 3.0.1 pre2,
