[Samba] Need to install samba with winbind ntlm support from source

hello, i need to install samba with winbind and ntlm support. i.e --with-winbind --with-winbind-auth-challenge (needed for ntlm) The problem is i run the installion as expected. 1. ./configure -- . 2. make 3. make install. yest samba does not seem installed. is there

[Samba] Problem installing samba-2.2.8a from tarball

hi i uninstalled samba from my system. i got the tarball form samba site. i ran 1. ./configure --with-winbind-auth-challenge 2. make 3. make install. i check rpm -q samba but its not installed. can someone tell me what i am doing wrong. Thanks **Disclaimer This email
