it doesnt matter if im connected directly to the 4port gateway/router or
connected through the 7port switch (old gateway).. any ideas to whats

The problem is that I get a "permission denied" when attempting to mount
the exported file system on the Solaris box.
I'm I trying to do something that is not doable?

# Most people will find that this option gives better performance.
# See speed.txt and the manual pages for details
# You may want to add the following on a Linux system:
# SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
socket options = TCP_NODELAY

config:-
Windows ME, 128MB RAM
Netgear 10/100 MB NIC
Access '97
The database consists of 1 linked and three imported files, its size ~210MB
when populated.
If you would like further information about my configuration then feel free
to email me. Your thoughts would be appreciated as well as any
shared samba
drive and then copy them back. Mind you prior to upgrading to RH7.2 from
RH7.1 and of course thereby upgrading my Samba version all was working well
:) I hope that this helps someone more conversant with Samba to steer me
in the right direction.

note that the Win98 clients appear to be fine!! However
from the WindowsME clients the network connection is lost when trying to copy or
access them. I am sure that there is a simple answer. Any comments
suggestions welcomed.
